Last Thursday, the European Search Awards was hosted in the historic city of Prague, bringing together an array of agencies, in-house teams and industry thought leaders from across the continent. The prestigious event is dedicated to celebrating the finest work in PPC and SEO, spotlighting projects that push boundaries and achieve remarkable results through innovation.

This year the team from WeDiscover were among those present, having been shortlisted for a remarkable 6 awards. The team arrived in Prague the day prior to the event to explore the city; soaking up the sights and cultural highlights together on a walking tour, and over a boat ride in the sun, before getting dressed up to head over to the awards ceremony, held in the architecturally stunning Art Nouveau building, erected in 1911.

The competition was intense, with entries from numerous countries across Europe vying for recognition and with anticipation having been building for the evening ceremony, it was with enormous joy that the team got the first big news of the night: winning the Best Use of Search Gaming category, with client Virgin Bet.

This celebrated work which focused on the effective utilisation of 1P data within marketing platforms, to achieve remarkable, and sustainable, results through powerful automation techniques. The award recognised the originality and effectiveness strategies implemented, and positioned both teams as leaders in the gaming sector across Europe.

But that win was only the beginning, and over the rest of the night, the team enjoyed going up on stage to collect wins across a number of other categories.

WeDiscover’s collaboration with The AA Driving School to work on balancing complex supply and demand issues on Paid Search was recognised with wins across 3 further categories: Most Innovative Campaign, Best Use of Data & Best Local Campaign.

The project here involved the creation of a novel approach to the utilisation of internal 1P data within marketing platforms, to build sophisticated models that allow for real time decision making. With the final model being fully automated with little manual input required, it is now being used to acquire new customers at a much higher efficiency than before.

The highlight of the night then came at the end, with the announcement of one of the final awards: Best Large PPC Agency.

This reflects WeDiscover’s outstanding growth, strategic vision, and the ability to deliver unparalleled results for a diverse range of clients across a wide number of industries.

This enormous success at the European Search Awards is a significant milestone for WeDiscover, as it not only celebrates the groundbreaking work done with clients, but also the fantastic culture within the agency, and a dedication to excellence across the board.

What makes this achievement even more spectacular, is the timeframe across which it has occurred: just one and a half years ago in December 2022 WeDiscover won its first ever award, for Best Small PPC Agency in the UK, at the UK Search Awards. That was followed by a win earlier this year for Medium Paid Search Agency of the Year, at the UK Paid Media Awards.

To now win Best Large Agency at an international level is nothing short of remarkable, and a testament to a culture that fosters collaboration, ingenuity, and both employee and client happiness.
